The TVA (September 15) and Noovo–Crave (September 16) debates sharpened the contrasts between the five parties, left some answers incomplete and raised eight claims to check. No winner or loser.

How we treat debates

  • No winner or loser: we summarize what each leader proposed, declined to quantify or left unanswered.
  • We always separate a claim made in the debate, an official promise, a verified data point, a partisan calculation and a result that remained unconfirmed after research.
  • An incomplete answer is not an absence of position. A topic missing from a debate is not an absence of position either.
  • Claims made in the debates do not automatically feed the comparison tool: any update requires a primary party source and a date.
