Methodology

The comparison tool covers 21 issues for 5 parties, or 105 cells. Each cell shows one of the statuses below, under the same rules and in the same order for all five parties. A cell without a documented position is never presented as the party having no position.

• Documented position — The summary is supported by at least one direct primary source (an official party platform, press release or page; a government document for an outgoing government’s record). The cell shows the verification date and the sources attached to that position.
• No sufficient result found — A search was carried out on the date shown across the official platforms and communications available, without finding a public position precise enough to summarise without extrapolation. This does not mean the party has no position, or that it refuses to take one.
• Under review — Previously published information is being re-verified, for example because the precise primary evidence still has to be confirmed. The earlier summary is not presented as current during the review.
• Verification in progress — Verification is not yet complete for this party on this issue. No judgement is made about the party.
• Absence confirmed — Reserved for cases where the party itself confirms, in a traceable way, that it has no position. This status is never inferred from a search with no result. No cell currently has this status.

“Verified on” is the date a position was last verified; “Research carried out on” is the date of a search that found no sufficiently precise position. The label “Government record” describes measures already adopted by the outgoing government; it is not a 2026 promise. Changes to these cells are listed in the corrections log.
